Savannah, GA - day 1

It was a little tricky to get to the visitors center by worth it. It was a perfect spot to enjoy the city without spending a lot of money.

The first day was stressful as we tried to work on where we would stay and also finding the part we needed.  We walked down to the river which was neat. The city had so much history! We may have been in a slight argument (from the stress and being tired)  and not enjoyed it like we could have.

Rob was able to take the girls on this ship. The family that owns it sails it around different ports from Brazil to Massachusetts giving tours. The older man stears it, his wife was knitting, his daughter was the ticket lady, her husband did maintence or something and her four kids were on there as well and all boat schooled :)

We came back for lunch and naptime. Robert took a nap and Bella and I went to this neat little cafe attached to the visitors center. The visitors center used to be the main train depot and the cafe was part of the train yard.  You could eat in the courtyard or these train cars.

We ordered famous peach cobbler. I'm not going to lie - it was amazing!

Once the girls woke up we found a neat memorial across the street that the girls could play on. It was a replication if a defense the British built there. It that one battle 800 American were killed!

We then decided to walk back toward the river to visit one of the squares and be back for dinner.  The squares are gardens spread throughout the city. Unfortunately we got turned around and ended up walking the wrong way. We did see some beautiful houses and a famous Catholic Church. Unfortunately we just missed the last vespers but the girls thought it was probably a castle lol:)

We were too far from the rv and everyone was crying so we stopped for dinner. It was a cute little coffee/sandwich shop that ground it's own beans in these huge machines. During devotions we were all thankful that the day had ended a little better than it had started.
