Last Saturday we drove about 45 minutes to columbus, ga where they have a great farmers market. It runs down one side of the main historic street. George's makes samples of their pancake mix (mouth watering good) the girls got a few extra than most people:) they sell their pecans, granola, yogurt and pancake mix. Thier milk and meat is sold before it's even made so it never makes it to market.
Then we headed to a historic theater where we meet Santa. They had a free hot chocolate bar and cookies. Mary Poppins stopped by which was pretty neat! That play starts the first of December. We thought it would be a treat til we realized it would cost is $130! Maybe next time:)
Then on to the most amazing library I've ever seen. I went to a local food fund meeting there with Becky. I was so impressed that I asked Robert to take us back. In the way there we took a wrong turn and lucky for us ended up with a bold the size of my thumb in our front tire. It didn't seem like air was coming out so we went ahead and ate and then to the library. I was a little worried so I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted.
The children's section was huge! This is just the front entrance
I'll have to take more when we go back.
We wernt sure how the tire would hold up so we didn't stay long. Oh did I mention we forgot the jack?
We made it home and still no leak. The next day the girls wernt feeling great, the tire was questionable, and there was a hurricane warning so no church for us. We went stir crazy for most of the day, destroying the clean house I'd worked for on Saturday night. That night we ate with George and Becky and two of their sons that were visiting. It was pork roast from their pigs - amazing!
The next day Robert took the tire to see if maybe it could be patched from the inside. The whole was too big on the outside and it was in such good condition we hated to think it couldn't be saved. $15 later(!!!) it is as good as new. We were very thankful for that.

Yay! Melissa! So good to hear from you. Love that library. Libraries are so great especially because they are free (plays are so overrated:) A hot chocolate bar-what a treat. Praise the lord for a $15 fix. You needed that.
ReplyDeleteReally missing you today. Ashley got new glasses and they are kind of like yours. When she came into the nursery today for a few seconds I thought you were there. Melody had a hood on and was laying on her shoulder. When I saw her coming through the door I saw you holding Charlotte. I was excited and confused as to why you hadn't told us you were coming:) Later, Crystal said she thought the same thing. Poor Ashley, she kept apologizing for not being you. Anyway that made me enjoy this post even more.
Looks like things are going well. Finally just sat down with Michael bc he was asking how things were going for you all & wanted him to see for himself instead of relaying it all. We really missed you for Thanksgiving, it was just us 3, but hope you had a nice day. No real gossip for you either...except Shelia's being a pain, Ashley is trying to replace you, your dad is referring you as a hippie, Misty is pregnant again, your mom has no idea what time it is or what country she's in, I'm trying to hold it together & not freak out over all this.
ReplyDeleteLove & miss you dearly.
I did the same thing with Ashley on Sunday. She said so many people were telling her that same thing. I'm glad it was an easy fix. Miss Ya.
