Yard sale finds and a clean draw

(I thought this went through on sat)

Piney orchard today and I was nervous  that it was going to be rained out. Luckily the rain held off and I was able to get what I was looking for - road trip items and long sleeve Ts for the girls. It's odd to go and not get very much but nice at the same time. The only thing I would have loved to find is a bike for rob and a baby bike seat. Still looking for those.

Once we got home we drove to PA to get milk and then rob took the girls around so I could clean the house.

We've learned that in such a tiny space it is basically impossible to clean while everyone is there. So he takes them for an hour or so and I speed clean through the house from the bedroom to the kitchen. That usually gives me time to do everything except the dishes.

A friend in my mama group did a junk drawer challenge so here is my before and after of that.

It's so nice to start Sunday with a clean house! Oh and I'm suuuuper proud of myself that these are still alive. One year and counting!👊

  2. Love your yard sale treasures! Especially the "I spy" game. Don't you wish there was some way to keep those drawers that way!? I feel like drawers, closets and the refrigerator are a never ending organization project.

    1. Yes! It's probably because all those things can be closed off and people don't open them so we push them to the bottom of our lists. Until it looks like the apocalypse!

  3. Do you remember our "junk drawer" growing up? The one in Sheila's house to the right of the stove. Mom always hid her Snickers bars in there. Do you know that you can take a teensy bit of a half Snickers bar and no one would ever miss it? I was compelled to make that a junk drawer when we were living there. And by the way, who came up with the idea of a junk drawer anyway? What a terrible trap for odds and ends that should be in the trash!

    1. I don't remember that one very well but I do remember the one in the brown hutch by the light switch in the white house. It would get so heavy with stuff you could barely close it. Also, do you know there is an extra snickers behind the medicine in the second cabinet?

  5. You can only take so many little bites before you had better stop because it's getting noticeable.

  6. I was also compelled! But I like to call it the pen and pencil drawer :)
