Cherry Pies

Our sweet old neighbor, Mr. Cleet, has cherry and pear trees in his yard and he said we could have all the fruit that we wanted.  So today we went over and picked a large container and we will have to go back because that tree was loaded with cherries!  I used this tip to pit the cherries and it worked so well.  Then Arrabella and I used this recipe to make the filling.  As she said, “So good, oh mama, so good!”  And with only 5 ingredients and maple syrup instead of sugar you can’t go wrong=)

  5. oh, they're so pretty :) Is there a new neighbor next door? The previous owner was named Mr. Cletus, what a coincidence. Jackson called him Uncle Cletus. A lovely old man indeed ... after Jackson's birth he told me I had a lot of walking to do :)
