Our sweet old neighbor, Mr. Cleet, has cherry and pear trees in his yard and he said we could have all the fruit that we wanted. So today we went over and picked a large container and we will have to go back because that tree was loaded with cherries! I used this tip to pit the cherries and it worked so well. Then Arrabella and I used this recipe to make the filling. As she said, “So good, oh mama, so good!” And with only 5 ingredients and maple syrup instead of sugar you can’t go wrong=)

Sneaked a taste and it was good!
ReplyDeleteMelissa made a crisp with the jar she gave me and we all totally enjoyed it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI made it again when I got home and we ate it for dinner=)
DeleteYou did a good job picking, Arrabella.
ReplyDeleteWhat was your crisp recipe? I think that's what we'll do here :)
ReplyDelete1 cup each: oats, maple syrup, flour mixed with 1 stick melted butter. Bake for 30 minutes
Deleteoh, they're so pretty :) Is there a new neighbor next door? The previous owner was named Mr. Cletus, what a coincidence. Jackson called him Uncle Cletus. A lovely old man indeed ... after Jackson's birth he told me I had a lot of walking to do :)
