Grandma bought the girls umbrellas at the general store and because there was no rain they used it as sun shades.
Yet another winning recipe from the Homestead Blessings Cookbook – baked oatmeal. I liked it with maple syrup and greek yogurt on top but I think If you substituted the honey for maple syrup you wouldn’t need to add extra on top after baking. I also added some peaches and strawberries – everyone loved it.

Melissa, you make Medina look good! I love the picture of the oatmeal. The colors and the maple syrup look staged. It was my plate of oatmeal and I saw you take the picture so I know it wasn't.
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved the English Rose Tea Shoppe. I loved the baked oatmeal and ate the last of it before I went to bed last night.
ReplyDeleteLove the tea shop! I did think the picture was a "little" staged with maple syrup :) You are just over the top with your picture goodness. I am going to have to get into the West cookbook action everything looks so simple and good. It is hard to get out of the old standby rut like you said.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't staged! I walked around the corner and it was all just like that - I thought the blue plate and red chair was just perfect and the light in this house is amazing! So far everything has been really good and of course as you refine to your own taste it only gets better and faster. Great gift, Andrea=)
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the tea shoppe with Mom looking at the tea next to it, really throws me off. I just can't seem to separate the two. Weird. Which BO do you like better? I prefer the Southern one, although they aren't that different.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the southern one yet...but I did make the ultimate pancakes this morning. So good! They are really thin and very different from our normal thick pancakes but I thought these were much better.
