On the way to Georgia

Instead of empting out the shelves each time we moved we decided to try christals idea of sliding a dowel rod in front. Worked perfectly!

We decided to drive a little out of the way to visit this farm and get some raw milk:) it is legal in South Carolina so they had a little honor system store. We stocked up on milk and eggs.

We were on back roads most of the way as we drove from one end of South Carolina to the next.

I've also learned that is it much better for me to have all the snacks, drinks and games/toys with me. I dole them out to last the trip. It works better than the girls tearing through everything in 30 minutes. I put a crate in the middle and it is very organized for easy grabbing. It worked out really well

Our next stop was CookOut a southern fast food burger and milkshake spot. Not healthy but after a week of almost no meat I LOVED it!

By night fall Robert was tired and ready to stop. We found a neat little state park in the middle of nowhere.  Luckily it was the beginning of the week and not the weekend. Come to find out it is a world famous fishing spot where a lot of records have been set. Every weekend for months was booked!

It was beautiful and we decided to stay two days as we tried to figure out what we would do next. I contacted quite a few farms in GA that next day.

The girls love love loved the water. I had to drag them away for naps and they didn't love me for it ;)

Rob and I did some planning and we were unsure but excited about our next stop.

Wednesday morning we packed up early to head to downtown Savanah. They had a visitor center parking lot where you could stay for 48 hours. Rv parking in the middle if the city? That was perfect for us. But as we pulled out of our spot the truck didn't move. A quick look out the window showed us I had failed to put up the jacks!!!

Rob got out to put them up but they wouldn't go! Our older neighbor came over to help. Rob wasn't thrilled with me at this point;)

An hour later we were on the road. Broken jack removed. And no way to unhook the rv!

We went down the road to a good ol boy mechanic. He tried to fix it but no luck.
My view as I tried to keep the girls entertained with "find a ____ car" and a bag of pretzels:

After another hour we found a camping world right in savannah. So we headed there next. We called the guy ahead of time so he could have the part waiting for us.

We got there about 3 hours later. He hadn't even looked for the part! Then after waiting forever he was about to order the wrong part that was twice as much! We left and decided to find it ourselves. We spent that night in the parking lot of walmart. We didn't want to venture into the city being so tired and discouraged.
