Hi! (Please notice plants that I've kept alive since August!!!) (also please don't ask about the fourth aloe plant I recently killed😝)

I enjoyed catching up on everyone's posts that I'll do my best to do my part. Hoping to break out if this slump I'm in! So here is my sorry excuse of Christmas time documenting...

Ziggy was our elf on the shelf. Rob had fun with this one:)

Listening to the Christmas story as Jared reads
Yup that's it. This Christmas (well the last few months really) I've felt a tad overwhelmed and hardly pick up my camera. Andrea gets the prize this year.
Oh yes and let's not forget that time we had to do CPR on Elaina to get the bead out of her nose!
Nice to have you back. I had to laugh at Lesli giving CPR over our Banana Gram Game.
ReplyDelete1. I need more information about this CPR incident. Was she sucking it out of her nose or actually giving CPR. The whole story, please.
ReplyDelete2. This is not a question, just a comment. I didn't know you could kill aloe plants. Maybe you're actually watering it TOO much?
Elaina came in fussing and pointing to her nose. After trying tweezers and that not working they started talking about nighttime care. So I looked up inline and it said try putting your mouth over theirs and blowing softly while holding their other nostril closed. Rush tried a while but nothing. Then Leslie laid her down and tried again a d out it popped!
DeleteHa didn't see leslis reply until after I published the last comment
DeleteI need the story on the CPR thing too. I'm imagining all kinds of things.
ReplyDeleteI thought my aloe was doing fine until I went to move it and discovered the plants were no even in the dirt??? but just sitting on top. Also, can someone tell me how Mom's aloe is doing great and she does nothing with it???
ReplyDeleteOk, love the CPR picture. That was really stressful. Elaina was quite the character at Mom's during Christmas she was sneaking cookies and candy and pretty much into everything. Then she did something she has never done before. She stuck a bead up her nose! AHHHH! We could NOT get it out and were getting worried. Do you really end up in the emergency room for beads in the nose? But, never fear, Melissa came to the rescue with her handy internet phone. She started pulling up stuff about how to get "things" out of noses. This is what she found and listen up mothers out there, it works. You lay the child on her back, plug the nostril that is not clogged and blow lots of short breaths in like CPR. This is gross, but the mucus builds up behind the "thing" and it pops out. It took us a little while, but it worked. I have never been so relieved. Melissa gets points for that one!
Yes luckily it was just a few minute if stress and the. Back to bananagrams. And not hours at the emergency room😜
