So, favorite breakfast ideas that take little to no prep or made the night before?
It doesn't have to be fast (cooks for 20-30 minute in the morning) but I'm talking cereal easy😄
If it wasn't horrendously bad for the body and the budget, I'd eat cereal every. single. day!
Thanks!

For breakfast we don't have a lot a variety around here, simply because I don't like making anything that takes time that early in the morning:) So if its warm enough, berries and yogurt are great. But during the winter the kids eat a lot of oatmeal (with just butter and honey in it [that's the only way Bethany will eat it]) and eggs with toast, and recently they have discovered french toast (which surprisingly doesn't take long either). I know you probably already eat these but typically that is all the variety we eat for breakfast unless its a special day or something.
ReplyDeleteIs the video of Bella doing a ponytail down? Bethany wanted to watch it, but we were not able to pull it up.
ReplyDeleteI am so copying that first cozy! I am still in mourning over our beloved Cereal! Breakfast is very hard for me to get excited about especially on these cold mornings. We usually rotate pancakes (I mix the dry ingredients the night before), french toast, fried eggs with cheese and toast, scrambled eggs with cream cheese and cheese with toast, oatmeal (soaked makes it a quick cook I add eggs to get a custard like consistancy), bagel sandwiches (fried egg, cheese, ham/bacon) and waffles. I add bacon to the egg meals when I feel ambitious. We have hot tea with milk most mornings to keep our hands warm enough to handle a fork :) I should look into more crockpot breakfasts.
ReplyDeleteDaddy never eats breakfast so it's only me. Almost every morning I have a cup or two of tea with two pieces of Melodi's bread. I toast it and put lots of coconut oil on it. I like it and I get my coconut oil for the day. Sure wished I had a cozy.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast is so hard for me...and lunch too....oh, yeah and dinner too. Ok, it's not that bad, most days. You know how it is when you have construction going on and on? You have ALL either been there or are there now. I never want to stop working or cleaning and go to the kitchen to make a mess. I remember Aunt Carolyn saying when we visited her, "I just don't like to cook very much because it messes up the kitchen." Doesn't that sound just like her :)? Melissa, I am thinking that if you could somehow get into having a cup of tea first thing that would help ease into the breakfast thing. It's easy on your stomach and helps you to wait a minute for breakfast. The secret is heavy whipping cream. Yum, it adds so much to your cup. Well, most mornings around here we have eggs of some sort with a smoothie or toast. A few years ago, we had oatmeal EVERY morning for about a year. I am not kidding. Even though it was soaked, I am not sure how healthy that was. Needless to say, I completely burned out my kids on oatmeal. We do have it now and then though. The kids like steel cut better. I feel too cold for smoothies most mornings, as I am sure you do too, but I do love them. Maybe in the summer?
